We've rolled out a small but significant update to our Lightroom Plugin. You can now enable Client Proofing (Favorites) directly from Lightroom when creating or editing an album. We've implemented some minor bug fixes and optimizations to keep things running smoothly.

The new European Union data protection laws (GDPR) are now in effect, and we’re happy to say that we’re compliant. These new laws regulate how businesses can collect, use and retain personal information. The European laws are the strictest and most onerous privacy regulations yet, which is why they have become the new global benchmark. Although the GDPR only applies to the data of European users, all DPHOTO users benefit because we apply these privacy practices to all our users.

DPHOTO now intelligently crops your photos to ensure that nobody loses their head. This results is better, more informative thumbnails, and more attractive album covers. And the best part is that you don’t need to do anything—just upload a photo, and you automatically get perfect thumbnails.

Over the last year we’ve completely redesigned our download process to make it faster, more reliable, and more user-friendly.

Almost every major DPHOTO feature is now available through the plugin - which means it’s possible to manage your entire online gallery without ever leaving Lightroom.

Today we're making it much more rewarding for those that take the time to show others that they love DPHOTO. When you share a referral coupon with someone, they will now receive 20% off for their first year, and your account will be credited with 20% of any payments they make during that first year.

We regularly raise the limits on our accounts, but this is a particularly big one - we've just increased storage by 500%. Standard accounts expand from 100GB to 500GB, and Premium accounts have jumped from 200GB to 1TB (that's 1000GB). Although we don't offer 'unlimited' storage accounts (mainly to prevent abuse), with these latest inceases we think the accounts are *practically unlimited* - that is, even heavy users will never get close to their limit. Plus, we'll continue increasing storage as our costs come down.

Back in 2012 we embarked on a complete rebuild of DPHOTO. The catalyst for the rebuild was the need to switch from Flash to HTML, but there were many other fundamental changes that were needed as we looked to the future.
